UX CASE STUDY FOR LOGISTICS APPLICATION

Nowadays , businesses are online based, using different social media platforms (WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter , etc). Sellers on these platforms always find a way to get the parcels across to their customers in different locations and at a stipulated time.
Putting into consideration the sellers and customers conveniences in the process of trading, logistics app is developed to meet the services of parcel pickups and deliveries at any location and at a minimal time compared to using any other means of delivery. We have different categories of businesses show-case on social platforms, beauty and fashion , books and documentations, furniture, household consumables, etc.
Since each of these has different weight/size and can be grouped into categories, different means of transportation is available for the courier service. For instance, the weight of books to that of furniture is different and can be transported through different vehicles, therefore the idea of using different means of vehicle as a courier is an improvement to the logistics service.
Users can select the type of vehicle ( Bike, Mini-van, or Car ) that suits their package weight/size.
DESIGN FRAMEWORK
The design framework entails the design process from understanding the idea, vision and goals of the product to identifying the problem and providing the solutions to implementation and testing of the design.
Empathize ( Research and Discover ), Define, Ideate, Prototype ( design ), Test.

RESEARCH
Application Research
I started the project by making research on the common and old logistics app used by people. After which I went ahead to get design inspirations of logistics app, walk through the app designs and see how it solves users problems efficiently.
I decided to choose about three applications as an inspiration of my own design, walk through them all and brainstormed on how to make my application much more easier and efficient.
User Research
I carried out my research on users using interview and survey method. Since I have a lot of friends into online business ( buying and selling of different goods ), I did a one on one interview with them to fully understand their day-to-day operations, requirements, goals and pain points within their current system.
Using survey research, on social media platform I shared survey links to generate more information from users.
USER PERSONA
Persona tells the user’s goals, expectations, pain points, and priorities when they interact with the product.
Based on user research, I noticed that the goals and pain points of both sender and receiver are similar. but the interaction of sender and receiver with the product will be different at different situations.
So, I created a single User persona to represent the sender.
